Well, it's simple, really. Online, like pretty much everywhere else online and offline, anything relating to being social goes right back to a high school setting. Well, at least it does for a lot of people, those who worry about popularity and this and that and everything else. Happens here, happens in workplaces, it's almost unavoidable. Some people just never get beyond that mentality, I guess, when in reality it meant jack shit in high school and means just as little in everyday life. XD

Its like everyone cares about who they know, rather than how much they actually care about people. Why should I give two shits what some famous furry fuckwad thinks?

But yeah. We all don't wanna be hated on for being furries, but fuck, dude. When they all act like this, I don't blame people for blindly hating furries.

But the problem is that, in any fandom out there, there are an insurmountable number of dicks amongst the lot. Doesn't matter which group you pick, there will be dicks. Even in mahjong groups and sewing circles (don't ask how I know, ha)! Gamers have raging ones, TV-based fandom a have heir frothing lunatics, movies have buffs all over the place who have redwoods stuck up their bums, all that. Nobody is any better than anyone else because, really, we all have the propensity and possibility to act like 5 year-olds when it comes to interacting with other people. XD

And whenever I see a minor or major popular person in the fandom (or even in non-furry fandoms) I read what they have to say, have a mental reaction, and move on with my day. I've been online for far too many years at this point to know that the only people I can influence are friends since we can talk for hours (and at length) about issues and wind up influencing each other. Trying to do the same with someone popular or someone you don't know is just the equivalent of slamming your face against a brick wall more often than not. Better to dedicate one's time elsewhere. :3
