From Oregon with love

I have lived in the same house for 12 years. It's the house I did more growing in as a person than anywhere else. The discoveries I've made about the world and myself in it's gardens and halls are the foundation of my understanding of everything. The worlds I've seen, created, and visited, in childhood and beyond are connected to it in countless ways. A decade of good and bad ideas, of flights of fancy, the deepest fears and the highest joys are all contained within the rows of red and green hedges. The hills and their endless forests make wonderful walls, and though winter is long and the sky is white for longer, in summer the vaulted ceiling is alive with thousands of stars.
In a few days I'll be leaving that.
Good God that was pretentious. I'm still gonna keep it in the journal because I spent however long writing it. Basically, I'm moving to Texas this next week, and it's not gonna be easy on me by any means. This area is gorgeous. The people are shit*, but the are is unbelievably gorgeous.
