I'm a pretty big sucker for comedies, animation, and sci-fi/fantasy type movies with lots of ACTION! I also really like happy endings. However... I still love a lot of darker genres.

Some movies I watch repeatedly are Princess Mononoke, Drive, Underworld (so cheesy good), and Fantastic Mr. Fox. I love all the Marvel series shit too, and LotR... Have you ever watched Hard Candy?

I work at a movie theatre but I really don't watch that many movies these days honestly.

I have watched Fantastic Mr Fox so many times it's become one of my friends circles most quoted movies. You have to watch Underworld because, hey, werewolves man. Werewolves! Awkward werewolves! And Drive... I don't really know why I like that movie so much but god damn is the soundtrack really good all throughout.

Hard Candy is one of my favs. Real weird. Ellen Page is surprisingly intimidating.

Also. Pan's Labyrinth or The Fountain. Hell yeah you gotta watch those.

See I'm weird, because I force myself to watch monster/sci fi movies but I really just tend to avoid horror. I had zombie nightmares for like 2 weeks after watching 28 days/weeks Later. Werewolf stuff is easier for me to digest, or the older films with genuinely cool effects and "monsters". Like Alien, holy fuck that has to be one of my favorite movie franchises of all time. It probably helps Sigourney Weaver is a BAD ASS and probably my favorite female actress of all time. :X

yeye werewolf movies always have really cool effects, i just wish they brought back physical animation and suits more rather than cgi ;c

WELL, then you will enjoy some aspects of Underworld then. They do utilize some pretty awesome suits and animatronics for the werewolf heads! You can actually watch bonus features that show just the faces moving and it's soooo coooool x_x

Ah I was gonna list Pan's Labrynth as a fav but I see somebody else got to it first! Still though, it's one of the only movies I own a hard copy of. I also really like Phantom of the Opera (the movie, I want to see the play version some day uwu) More recently I liked Angelina Jolie's performance in Maleficent, and I'm super antsy about wanting to watch HTTYD 2!

Today was also good, I slept in too long but then I hung out with my mom and actually drew in my sketchbook which always brings my mood up +50. My dog was extra cute today.

yee esp during the summer i tend to recluse into myself really badly, i'm volunteering a bit tho so at least i'll be with other people at least once a week so i don't feel lonely <:

M I have the movie movie version of Phantom of the Opera (the 2004 version), and IDK I have a weakness for musicals I guess. Les Mis was another one on my list that I didn't mention.

Yeah Angelina looked great, do recommend! I NEARLY avoided all spoilers for HTTYD2 (a feat with how often it's on my tumblr dash) but last week my brother insisted on playing every trailer to the movie he could possibly find while sitting next to my desktop so I couldn't escape, so I know too much already! I was so mad at him but w/e he was just trying to fanboy about it with me. I like to go into a movie without having seen any trailers/spoilers/anything but it's not always possible haha. At least I don't know how it ends yet, so there's still some mystery. I'm 101% sure I'm gonna like it though! Never get too old for animated movies, I tell ya.

Tbh the dog is always cute but she kept jumping up to snuggle with me and then whine at the cats for not playing with her, which was just EXTRA cute especially because it's been so hot lately so she's been choosing to sleep on the air vents instead of cuddling. I love too many movies but one of my favorites is a relatively recent film called "Pontypool" (sort of zombie film but not really...I like it in the same way I enjoy "The Signal".

Yeah, Pontypool has definitely become one of our favorite films, especially since it (and The Signal) revolves so much around sound (and that's awesome that it takes place near you - haha). The Signal is relatively low budget but I really love idea of it and the characters, especially Lewis because he is an absolute nut.

The concepts of the movies are about sound in some way.

The idea in Pontypool is that it's sort of like a virus that infects people through the use of the english language and it goes from distorting the meaning behind a word to confusion to actual sickness. It was superrrr cool. People basically start to mindlessly repeat the sounds or words they hear (even windshield wipers at one point). The Signal is about (you guessed it) a signal that is transmitted through people's televisions, radios, phones, etc. that starts to warp their perception of reality and makes them all paranoid lunatics. fjfjfjfjdj they are both soooo good - I love them. ;o;
