Hey guys~
I've been passing this little gem around to various people, and since I just recently uploaded it to MegaUpload, I thought I'd just tack it up here for anyone interested.
Age of Wonders is a fantasy tactics RPG released back in 1999, and it seems it mostly went under the radar -- my friend Unth got it from another friend on his birthday as a little extra tacked onto a gaming magazine, many years after it's release. The game's setting is the most typical example of 'fantasy' possible, taking a page right out of Lord of the Rings, what with wizards and warriors, paladins and the undead, Elves and Orcs and Halflings and Lizardmen -- played in two parts, overworld expansion and tactics battles of many kinds. theres' a whole story mode to be played for both good and evil, as well as a slew of scenarios to play through (my favorite.) You can use the scenario builder to make your own settings, characters, stories and everything!
Anyways, I think it's a cool game with excellent music, and some of the nicest looking spritework I've seen yet. :3 If it interests you, check out this link. 100mbs, no installs needed. (This probably isn't entirely legal, but good luck finding this game anywhere! The company that produced it went under years ago, so it's not like they can make any profit off of any sales of the game, even if you could still buy it new.)

Many a night I spent entranced by it, fighting hordes of ferocious monsters, building enormous cities, uncovering magical artifacts and going "Just... one... more... turn!"
I even designed some maps in my own meticulously symmetric manner that me and my friends would use in our hotseat gaming sessions. I don't have them now, though, because I'm on a different computer these days. If I wasn't so lazy I could put together my old computer from the parts in my room, get the files off of it, and bring them here. But... blah. :b
