Not true, actually! I really liked a lot of Pathfinder and am one of the few people who actively likes 4e. I have no idea what 5e will be like!

Haha, well alright then! I personally won't be trying out 5th edition until all of the core books are released at the end of the year, and only until I have the money for them all, heh. Kind of excited for it though, considering all of the updates they were giving on its progress when they were developing it.

Sadly, I've looked it over, and downloaded the betas during the playtesting phase, and I am not able to give it a glowing review, though I do like some aspects of it. It reminds me of a simplified cross between 1e and 2e. Not as simplified as the old red and blue boxed sets, where elf, dwarf, and halfling were character classes, but kinda simple. Some folks might like that. You can download the starter set with basic rules and classes for free.

Might be good for beginning gamers, but we're sticking with Pathfinder in our group.

Not true exactly. I played a gnoll ranger exactly once, but that was years ago, and I have no idea where the character sheet even wound up.

And I'm okay with it, not great. A recent project got me learning a lot more about how dinosaurs are put together (and I've asked, so hopefully can post some stuff for ya). I'm pretty sure you follow Caribou already, but if you don't, check her out - she's given me pointers to dinosaurs (and other similar stuff, like Kaprosuchus) which I wouldn't have known to exist otherwise. I'd say that she and Mel White are the people in this fandom who know the most about dinosaurs.
