I also assume you have... a curious relationship with the concept of proper and formal informed consent. Just based on some of the slighty-rapey stories I've seen that come equipped with justifications.
On your second assumption: you're not wrong, although I think "complex" is even more accurate. I like both strong women and ladies in peril, so dubious or reluctant consent is a reoccurring element in my stories.
