Inherit the Earth 2 Kickstarter

For those of you who grew up in the nineties you'll likely remember a little something called adventure games. These shy, unassuming titles were the mainstay of the PC gaming market for the better part of a decade before finally dying out from a combination of over saturation and moon-logic puzzles.
I still remember being very young, no more than twelve when the game Inherit The Earth first came out. Reading a glowing review in a magazine, I so very wanted to get myself a copy. The fact its main character was a quick talking fox made me instantly fall in love with it, but pocket money won’t allow.
It was twenty years later I put down my cold, hard cash as an adult to play the game. And I was pleasantly surprised. Nice graphics, good voice acting (especially for the time), and an inventive plot. It certainly had its problems (yet gods the mazes!), but I played it with the help of a walk through and quite enjoyed myself.
So why am I talking about this now? A friend tipped me off that the people behind it are obviously furry, and they're trying to raise the money to make a sequel. It's up on kickstarter, aiming to raise 160k to cover production costs. So far it looks like they're... have some trouble meeting that goal.
For fifteen dollars you can pre-order a copy of the complete came. I put my money down. If you're interested I'd suggest you do too.

This brings to mind Star Fox Adventures on Game Cube, which had quite an emphasis on puzzle solving.
I kind of fell in love with Crystal, a vixen with purple eyes, silvery fur and a hell of a personality.
Also a fan of Bethesda and their Elder Scrolls saga. The most recent game, Skyrim, has a certain modder who made an excellent Fennec race add-on. If your computer is up to the challenge of loading that world in a snow globe and you like foxes give it a try!
Haven't played in quite awhile, the only game I bother with these days is Super Smash Brothers Brawl while I wait for S4. I'm a semi-pro Wolf O'Donnell main. Recently, Nintendo sponsored Wi-Fi networks went down, so I've sort of drifted away from the competitive scene.
Progress continues on 'Explorers', though not as fast as I'd like. I wind up reading physically printed stuff at lunch and beyond because it's in hand, I don't have enough printer ink and paper to produce a copy of your story that I can carry around with me. As a result I'm reading two books at once, yours and Stephen King's Joyland.
May have spoken too soon, by the way, perhaps banged the gavel of judgment down before I had the whole story. Even in this second installation of Tommy's journey I see your progression, the writing is getting more descriptive and more controlled. By the time I reach your most recent work I'm not sure what I'll find, the curve so far is sharp from book 1 to book 2. Especially liked the opening, that's exactly the sort of stuff I was telling you to include.
I like the goal of ITE2, but I have a sneaking suspicion that they're not going to get anywhere near their goal. But then again, if they don't reach their minimum of 160K all the backers get their money returned.
I did play Star Fox Adventures back in the day, picking it up when I bought a Wii. It was one of only about a half dozen games I ever got for it. Nice graphics, I just couldn't get into it, being a dyed-in-the-wool PC gamer. (Where's my save menu, where are my graphical options, internet play!) As for Crystal, I think she's a bit of a mainstay of this particular community!
I am a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls series though. I've played (practically) every gave since Arena. I spend too much of my life fighting with Daggerfall's bugs, and I'm not even going to admit to how many hours I sunk into Morrowind! I do currently have Skyrim and it is awesome. Can't say I've heard of the Fennec mod though.
Sadly I've never played Smash Bros. I've heard good things about it, just never had the chance.
No rush to finish The Explorers but I would like to know what you think about it. It's structured very differently than the first book. I think it came out pretty well, but it was a substantial change.
Ahh, so now you have me competing with Mr. King, do you? I'm in respected company! I can't say I've read much by him, the last King book I read was Eyes of the Dragon.
And here's hoping you see some improvement in my style while you read! No promises, but I think I've improved at least a little bit in the last few years.
