Life Questions and Thinking...
I have like so many questions and lots of thoughts floating through my head. If anyone can help me, please comment below. >w<
Questions concerning going into character design:
What schools offer Master Degrees for Character Designers?
For Portfolio Review, what art do you have to go into? (Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or Other?
Questions in general:
How would you critique my gallery? (mostly works from past 5 years only please)
What can I improve in?
What sources of inspiration do you guys like?
Do you guys have any questions for me?
Is my art unique in it's style?
What social medias should I advertise on?
How would you go about self-advertising?
What sells best at artist alleys at anime cons?
What advise would you give me as an artist?
Out of all my characters, who do you like the most?
Please be honest and straight forward. Critiques, advice, links to inspiring works, and tips would be lovely. Thank you! -Kitax

I would say that I do see improvement from you in past aspects of it. I've looked at it for at least three years, not 5, so I will say that your working in progress with it.
What can I improve in?
Better face shapes would help. Seemingly, you understand the anatomy of things, but your faces can be a bit more distinct?
What sources of inspiration do you guys like?
What sources I use is my friends usually, because they are the ones pushing me to draw different things. However, what I'm particularly drawn to are BJD dolls actually. It's because of them that I'm able to sometimes draw some abstract things.
Do you guys have any questions for me?
What do you particularly look for in artist work that you commission/would like to commission?
Is my art unique in it's style?
It's on it's way to becoming distinct. Your learning a style at least, from what I can tell.
What social medias should I advertise on?
Facebook, Twitter, FA, DA, and if you have a website or something, you should do that too. There is also the fact that you could do what I do, and word-by-mouth it and do gifts every now and then to expand your work potential.
How would you go about self-advertising?
I usually include things with my offered art. Usually, I do word-of-mouth, but there is also sometimes where when you draw something for someone, people will look at it and flock to your page. Depends though as that's tricky to navigate.
What sells best at artist alleys at anime cons?
Prints usually. Fan art prints.
What advise would you give me as an artist?
Keep working on your style. If you aren't getting very many commissions, suggestion would be to take some time to draw for yourself then to be able to keep developing and not staying still. Sometimes, what my boyfriend says that I do agree with, artist that take commissions stop at a certain level and don't always grow past that because everyone that buys from them likes that style. Keep growing on, despite being open and doing commissions.
Out of all my characters, who do you like the most?
I like.....Blue Star, but the older design better because of the potential it had. However, I'm glad that you liked the new change that you've gotten with it.
I actually look at a lot of things. What bugs me at anime cons is that there are so many artists that try to do this one style and same coloring process..and it gets boring sometimes. I guess you could say that I like works that show a lot of potential and have a certain flair. Everyone's flair is different though..I guess it all depends on what you like most in art. <---related to artist alley.
For looking or wanting a commission, I spend my time seeing who is open or when they do open. Then I look at prices and compare with other artists. I also look for styles that I could imagine my character being drawn in that would show off their personality..and also I look into artists who do backgrounds that don't overtake the whole image but kinda blend in in the background. I guess you would say I like things that are balanced. ^^:
I personally like to commission prints if I do get a commission or badges. I've always liked my characters being drawn by others but more in a scenery that reflects who they are..something that I can hang up in my room for when people come over and makes my room more life like. I like to daydream about them before I actually fall asleep at night. xD;
I hope I answered your question. >w<
Thank you for the pointers and suggestions, Oshii. OwO I know that I have a long way to go but I'm hoping to redo BlueStar's character to the best of my abilities. I did really like the old ref and the new one was rushed..but I have plenty of ideas and will be looking up other refs to see what I can bring into her that shows what I like as an artist. ^^ *huggles* How are you by the way? I miss talking with you. ;^;
