No art for a week or so, and future plans
11 years ago
Well, this isn't the most fun of subjects for my first journal.
Long story short, I've fucked over my laptop's video card (due to heat damage caused by a shitload of dog hair getting in the fan, I'm sure), and my monitor goes seizure-inducing at the slightest provocation, meaning that the most resource-intensive thing that I can do at the moment is watch YouTube videos. I can't run Photoshop, which means that I can't work on drawing anything at the moment. I'm looking for a new laptop now, and believe that I've found something nice, but I don't know when I'll be able to get around to actually buying it (or when it'll ship over here). I'll get things set up again as soon as I can, but those waiting on requests will simply have to wait for the time being. I'm guessing that this will take about a week, but that depends on how long it takes to ship. I've been wanting a new laptop for a while, though, since this one has so many issues with overheating, so I'm pretty prepared for this and definitely plan on taking better care of the new one (keeping it in relative hair-free zones, not letting clumsy-as-hell people handle it and somehow knock the goddamn AC jack out of the computer after dropping it).
That having been said, though, I do feel that I should take the chance to share some of what I plan on drawing in the future. I'm not going to say exactly what I'm drawing, but I'll give you a good idea. I currently have eleven things planned:
Request for friend of a friend
No Such Thing As Too Many
Request for TanyaKapton
No Such Thing As Too Many
Other request for friend of a friend (might not happen)
No Such Thing As Too Many
Request for shadowwolfdragon12 (pt 1)
Something involving myself and Lebri (that most of you will likely enjoy)
Request for shadowwolfdragon12 (pt 2)
Possible goo girl stuff
Request for shadowwolfdragon12 (pt 3)
As you can probably tell, I kind of have a lot on my plate at the moment. I'll probably take a short break from doing any series stuff, and the same goes for requests. I do like doing requests, but I'd like to be able to decide what to draw next, as well. This whole thing might be subject to change, but I thought that I might as well show you guys that I have things planned in the future. I'll get back to working on this stuff from the top down once I have everything sorted out with the new computer, but I can't promise when that will be. I'll try to keep my focus on inflation stuff, though, since that was why I got into drawing stuff here in the first place. It always feels weird drawing anything else.

I'm not really interested in fixing this, as I need a new computer anyhow. This one's pretty damaged.
...my video card crashed and made me bluescreen the first time I tried to write out this comment.
Two things I suggest when you get your new laptop: One is get a cooling fan for it, preferably with two fans. And two: flip your laptop over and make sure that all of the fan ports are completely unblocked. The latop I have had a piece of thin black plastic (most likely to camoflage it with the black laptop) on the inside of the case of the laptop, blocking about 60 percent of the air intake and after I removed it I noticed a massive drop in temp, which is a laptop's biggest enemy.
I already know the cooling stuff, since I had to deal with all that with this laptop. Part of the issue seems to be that many newer laptops don't have vents on the bottom, which make cooling pads considerably less useful due to you just blowing air on the case as a result. No cooling pads that I've ever bought have lasted more than two or three months, so I'm kind of hesitant to get one again. Seeing as how heat is what fucked this one over, I'm aware of how much of an issue it can be. Since I didn't actually have this laptop very long at all, I'm quite convinced that part of what led to this one having such issues with heat was massive amounts of dog hair getting in the vent (it only has one, which is located on the side, and I have two huskies), which I intend to fix by keeping the next one in a different place inaccessible by canines.
If it has vents on the bottom, I'll consider getting a cooling pad, but I'm really hesitant with how the other two that I've bought only lasted a month or so (although one was actually broken instead of dying randomly). Generally speaking, the only thing that I do that brings up the temperature is rendering video (usually takes a little over an hour, done five or so times a week), but that happens to be rather intensive.
