For the past few weeks I've been using the Mario Kart 8 themed McDonald's toys as an excuse to leave the house and get some exercise. I would bike to the McDonald's around town and see if I could collect the set. So far, I have obtained 6 of the 7 racers. However, because I did not discover these toys until mid way through the promotion, I have missed out on Luigi. I've since been looking for any frugal way to obtain my missing part to the collection, but have not found a way cheaper than 12 dollars from Ebay after shipping and handling, and really I'm only prepared to spend 5.

I do this a lot, finding cheap things to try to collect. Obscure things that not every store has that may require several visits and patient searching. I've since come to the realization that I actually enjoy a good hunt to collect things. In fact collecting hunter pets is probably the only thing I miss about World of Warcraft. The game of waiting and searching and planning and hunting for just the right opportunity is something that tickles some primal part of my psyche.

Just thought like telling you a little about me.

That said, I do have an ulterior motive for this journal. If you are in a McDonald's (or have been to one recently) and have access to a Luigi kart toy, please let me know. I'd like to finish off this obsession to get to the next one.

Edit: If you are in the US, don't bother looking. While you could find one, it would cost you 9 dollars to mail it to me, which is far too much for either of us to spend.
