They got back to me!
"Here is our policy regarding costumes:
Costume Policy
Appropriate costumes are allowed on the property of ACCD facilities as part of a scheduled event or in support of the operations of the department.
· No costume may be worn that in its manner of design displays nudity that would be deemed illegal or inappropriate.
· No costume that resembles or imitates law enforcement, military or any other government public safety entity will include covering the persons face.
· Any person who has as a part of their costume a weapon or any other instrument that requires a safety check inspection will remove any facial cover or headgear for the duration of that inspection.
· Any person who has as a part of their costume a facial cover or headgear that obscures their face may be asked by ACCD security staff to remove the cover upon request. "
Sounds reasonable! ...will I put money down on that being the final answer, no. But it sounds good.
Definitely need to keep San Japan in mind for next year, sounds like the folks who went had a good time!

Fair enough. So a full head fursuit mask is fine, but be prepared to take the head off if security requests it? I can deal with that.

It seemed unlikely that it'd be an issue, but I figured an email with the facilities crew would be worth...well, the paper it's printed on, but hey it's something. |)
