What are your experiences with public bathrooms and do you have any advice regarding that area.
I know most avoid them at least pre t but like what if I'm successfully passing some of the time but not all the time and I really have to use the bathroom or something.

Shoot for gender neutral or family bathrooms first but your best option is to go at non peak times (peak times being fort thing in the morning between 8-9, lunch time 11-1, and the end of the work day 4-6) but no one has a clockwork bladder and can pee when they want.
Always go for the stalls. If you walk in and they're all full, walk out and try again in 10 minutes or go find another one. I've seen a lot of cis guys do this too. It's not weird at all.
Try to frequent bathrooms that are not frequently used. Go for the first stall in the line, they're usually the cleanest. Wipe down the seat before you sit on it even if you have a liner. Avoid all eye contact. And just try your best to be casual. It's ok to be fast and loud in a men's bathroom. XD
Do be careful though. I've been attacked in a bathroom out of nowhere. I've had several years of martial arts training, and I followed all the advice I just gave, and I still got hurt.
Take care of yourself. You are so important. <3
I was at school when it happened. It was later in the day an no one was around. I walked in, did my business, and while I was washing my hands, this guy comes out of nowhere and punches me right in the eye. I never saw him coming and I didn't see him afterwards. I had an awful black eye for a week.
In womens bathrooms, they make look at you, but I would assume they wouldn't say anything to you directly. Whenever he's used the womens restroom (back before he started T) he'd get strange looks but no one ever attacked him.
Hopefully that helps. I know I'm not in the same boat as you, but I witness things that happen to my boyfriend so I can at least give you some info.
I've only used men's bathrooms once, and I got harassed on my way OUT by the hostesses at Olive Garden. So I told their manager and got them in trouble <3
But yeah I have really big err...chesticles. So I'm really terrified of having issues with the bathrooms.
Everyone uses the bathroom with a very specific goal in mind.
If you feel unsafe just let a nearby friend or family traveling with you know where you're going. If you're not able to do that, you can always look into the app called "safetrek" for iPhone devices. I actually find using that service very very calming. I've never used it on a trip to the restroom but it would really work just as well.
I am going to male bathrooms, I'm pre-t and I don't always pass xD but I dont mind. It's just as you feel comfortable. If you're afraid of what other can think, you can keep going to female's until you feel safer x3
Ive never gotten beaten up, but besides knowing Zareks story, another one of my friends had gotten verbally harassed, and then later was 'felt up' (not exactly but eAfqafeafea) but this other guy that was in there who was trying to find a binder or something else, to figure out if he had boobs.
So just use good judgement and make sure you feel safe.
Be fast, no eye contact, and stay very alert
but yeah, just find out what feels best to you.
always try to find a family/unisex bathroom though. thats your best option.
