My previous list of things seemed to have upset some people. Here's a different list -- one that reveals things that I'd tap.
Someone's shoulder, to get their attention.
A Magic: The Gathering card
Keyboard keys while playing Stepmania without a pad.
The floor, while wearing tap shoes.
Any hard surface in time to the drumbeat of some awesome power metal.
A touchscreen monitor.
A laptop's touchpad (just kidding! I always disable touchpad tapping.)
The floor, or my opponent if I wish to submit to a lock, choke, or overwhelming attacks during a mixed martial arts match.
A mine. (The digging kind, not exploding.)
Drinkable liquids, such as water or soda.
The side of a soda can (Oops.)
Screw threads.
A guitar.
A medical patient's lumbar spine. (Medical school first, kids.)
A phone line or network. (Only in my official capacity with the USA Federal Government, of course.)
