Holy moley, I just realised tonight that it's my birthday in a week.
You know what reminded me? I was looking through our bills, and there's one due on my birthday. In a week. Yep, that pretty much sums up life at the moment :"(
My wife asked what I wanted. I realised that there's not a lot I actually want ... that we can afford, anyway. A new computer would be nice, so I don't have to fight the rest of the family when I want drawing time. Another lens for my camera. Other than that, I can't really think of anything.
Fucking bills, though.

Next year is one of those 'milestone' birthdays, so I'll have to save up, so we can do something terribly grown-up and sophisticated.
Ooh, I know what I want for my birthday! A weekend at Cradle Mountain Chateau, with one of the extra-speshul-deshul suites that has a hot-tub on the balcony, so we can sit in the hot tub and watch the wombats trundling through the snow
