Great Idea! -total failure

Last night I had the brilliant idea to play Pokemon Gold version, with a catch. It's in Japanese! Yes a while back a friend of mine game me all his Pokemon stuff and among the flood was a Japanese gold version. Since I've been trying to learn Japanese a bit I figured playing threw a game I know inside and out, could have done it blindfolded, I'd instead just do it in a different language and maybe who knows I might pick up some stuff X3 I mean I did! I did figure out kinda how to type on the Nintendo Japanese keyboard (even though my vocabulary is super limited)
But then Problems D= The thing is so Old it wont save data anymore. I saved, and then checked it cuz I'm paranoid... yeah nothing. I guess that was a waste. Oh well.
^^; thanks for reading! Kinda rambley but I just wanted to share that with you guys.

I have friends that actually do the same thing as you do,playing a game they know and then changing the language just to see how good they know the game. Seems silly to me :3 And curse the old games! They never work properly ;w;
Well,i hope you have fun playing all those games your friend gave you. And i hope learning Japanese is fun~ I will be learning either that or french this year :3
I'm not sure what type, but you can open it up and see, or visit a game store (as long as their service is good and they know their sh*t).
I do all my game stuff online now, the only game store we have is a gamestop on main, and they are idiots. I tried to get a job there but I was over qualified on accounts of I actually play videogames XD
But I can totally crack it open and see what kind of battery it is, I'm sure I could find a match somewhere =3
