tips~* Good news! *~
- I'm home yay!
- Tablet arrived to me before I arrived to me! Double yay! It's a very simple Wacom, tiny and petite and cute and I've already doddled around with it a little and I love how smooth it is! I'm so excited about being able to use it!
~* Bad news! *~
- Pen pressure isn't working! I've tried hunting FAQ sites about the problem and watching youtube videos to see how to fiddle with my program (SAI) to make it work and nothing is fixing it. A loooong time ago I had a tablet which is now very much dead and gone and I've tried to find and uninstall those device/drivers so there's no competition, but I'm still not figuring things out. It wasn't a Wacom tablet, so mine is brand-spankin-new so I shouldn't need to update any sort of new drivers for it.. idkidk Are there any super tech savvy watchers to help me out with this?
Aahhh! I'm so eager to get all this figured out! I'm so excited for digital art! Have you tried seeing if pressure sensitivity works in other software, like Photoshop or GIMP? That should help narrow down if it is a SAI problem or a windows problem.
and if it doesn't work in the gimp, then you know for sure it is a windows issue, and can start troubleshooting that instead of SAI/art programs
This is a wacom correct? First thing I would do is go to device manager, and uninstall the driver windows has installed for it, and if prompted check the box that says delete driver from computer, then I would unplug the tablet, and uninstall the driver from Programs and features, restart your PC, download the latest drivers from wacom and install them, and then plug the tablet in.
