the first 3 star wars movies (in order of the series not when they were made) get an unfair rap. They are different then the original 3 so theres plenty of people who bash them.I liked all 6 of the movies.And no matter what you think of the original 3 ,you have to admit special effects came a long way since the late 70s.

I think you're the first person I've ever met who liked Alien 3 better than Aliens. That makes you splendidly unique. I hear they're remaking RoboCop, but other than vaguely dating it in 2010 I've heard nothing.

Personally, I have trouble choosing a favourite between those two since they are so different. So I'm just going to settle for liking the first movie best and letting the rest stay uninvestigated.

I actually liked Phantom Menace more than the original movie. People complain that Phantom Menace had too much talking and not enough action. Well, Episode IV had tons of talking, and those same people regard it as one of the better episodes. In my opinion, Phantom Menace is better because it had superior action scenes. It had the battle on Naboo, the space battle against the droid control ship, two lightsaber duels with the Jedi versus Darth Maul, and a pretty cool looking podrace. Episode IV had a couple space fights, a few short blaster fights, an anti-climactic lightsaber duel, lots of running, and a Death Star blowing up. On its own, A New Hope had action, but I just don't think it's on the level of Episode I. Though I do realize that advancements in special effects and the difference in choreography have a lot to do with the Phantom Menace action being better.

Ranking the Star Wars films, I usually put them in this order from best to worst: 5, 3, 6, 2, 1, 4. My opinion, of course. The Empire Strikes Back is still my favorite because of the psychological battle between Vader and Luke, which is the same reason I rank Return of the Jedi at third. The battle with Luke, Vader, and The Emperor is fantastic. But I love Revenge of the Sith for Anakin's decent toward the Dark Side. His conflicting emotions, torn loyalty, and misguided judgment all lead up to one of my favorite battles in all of Star Wars. The Anakin versus Obi-Wan duel on Mustafar is just awesome. Putting the dialog aside, I just love the choreography. The way the fight moves from a wide area, into claustrophobic corridors, then on a narrow beam, before plunging toward a river of lava, is awe inspiring. Just the way their tactics, technique, and actions change depending on the environment. Amazing.

I hear ya. No way could Mace Windu be defeated so easily! Wait what were we talking about? I loved the original trilogy starting with IV to VI. I think VI was my favorite since it had those cute Ewoks and that awesome forest battle. Oh and the end was just awesome. I've read a few of the books but never followed the chornology well enough to really get into it all. I have some of the newer comics that have come out in recent years. Overall I've been in love with Star Wars since I saw Episode IV when I was a little kid.

Let me see my ranking then:

Star wars ep 4-6 was a romantic-adventure sci-fi, and it created a legend. As for ep 1-3...they are ok. Sadly the romantic plot was not well developed as it was draging along Anakin's libido...which sucked. The battle scenes were all samurai like too...nothing from the original there either. In 4-6 the figthing were decided with smartness and strategy too not just with force. In ep 1-3 mostly the strongest survived. :( There's a couple of characters which are mentionable thoug. General Grievious was an absolute hit, a bomb. Also Ventress could have made it to the movies too. Sadly she was away taking a holiday or something. From the new series ep 3 is the best...probobly because the plot is beeing revealed, and that's always a good part in films. :P

Robocop. Good movie in it's old way.

Alien. I love the series. (AVP sucks, and i tell it why, if you ask.) Well designed. I always liked the lonley runner stories much better then the unbeatable alien armada. I always pictured the aliens as a pack rather then a swarm. Killing a swarm is allways long and booring. Hunting for some smaller group is more exciting.

Terminator 1-2 is fantastic. Ep 3's plot defines logic...So it sucks too.At least the visual effects are fine.

I can sum up Episode 3 in one word "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" I feel bad james earl jones was sitll alive to see and voice that.
