An itch that cannot be scratched

I've been really craving Co-op type games (I've always liked them, just moreso recently) but I've nobody to play them with. All my reality buddies prefer strategy games but I like action games and such, and I would join public games but it's not quite the same and you never know if you're going to be the guy who drags the team down or if everyone else is just a derp. This is especially true in progression-based games like Payday 2. I've usually had more fun with a group of lower ranked players who were newer and just liked to play the game and have a bit of fun and I can even try to teach them a thing or two if necessary.
Kinda figured I'd bump that old journal off, even though I think it's still fairly relevant at least for another few months.

I had one of the animal crossings for the gamecube (well, my brother did) and the one for the original DS, they weren't quite my cup of tea. If they were a bit more like Harvest Moon or Rune Factory I think it'd be nice. I do have Mario Kart 7 but racing games aren't particularly my forte, especially when part of it comes down to luck or how well you can learn to use snaking or whatever.
Are you planning on getting the new super smash bros?
I had actually gotten monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for the 3DS for the purposes of doing some multiplayer, only to find out that for whatever inane reason they made it so you can only play locally with the 3DS version.
Still, it's not sometimes I'm likely to be picking up anytime soon =p
