I had a procedure done to fix a very deviated septim (it was literally bent like a C in the x-rays), and to remove some sinus tissue that had been deformed by like, hundreds of sinus infections.

If you're having to get one done for the same purpose, make absolutely sure that you find a doctor who ----DOES ***NOT*** PACK YOUR NOSE!!!!!!!

Packing the nose for surgery is what makes you black and blue and look like you got smashed in the face with a truck.

I found a doctor who did a procedure that did NOT pack the nose, and while horribly unpleasant, there was no black and blue, and he did a good job. It's not 100% well yet, but its only been about 2 weeks or so, and the bleeding has finally stopped, and I'm starting to feel human again.

And yes--- my sleep apnea is cured, it's easier to breathe and talk, and I know it's only going to get better and better--- but man, was it one helluva ride to get here xD!

It's not too terrible tho, with enough pain pills xD! And make sure you follow their instructions on caring for yourself after your surgery, believe you me, it makes a HUGE difference. :)

your deviated septum sounds like the case one of my coworkers just got through there as well. hers had a similar shape going. :)
i got a nice awkward Z shape giong in mine that'll need correcting as well one day. :I kidna debating which procedure i will go with in time, but knowing how some folks are healing having similar procedures these days is nice info to get some ideas from :)

really glad that the procedure has proven helpful to ya, and that you're almost done recovering dude! i'l have to ask the doctor local to me what the options here would be for that packing and not packing as well when i get chance. :) he'd only mentioned the two variants i could do of sedation or no sedation for it all XD (i'd likely want sedation so i could not panic <<" lol)

i can imagine the post-op self care stuff as well though. hoping i may have to just take time from work to recover whenever i get mine done.
