Okay, I'm contemplating whether I should be a master or pet or if I should even be involved with such a thing. I don't know even what master/pets even do. I just.. I don't know I need help deciding and shit like that dude. Can anyfur tell me about this?

Its something you definitely need to find the right person for, or you can't enjoy it at its full capacity.
Masters are obviously the ones "in charge". They give orders and the pet does whatever they want. But, a good Master makes sure that their pet is happy and takes care of them. Unless you're into the whole like degrading thing.
As for pets, its all about submitting to your Master. Doing what pleases them, pleases you too type thing.
It can be different in every relationship really.
That's no rule stating that you can only be one
