i've since sent in my article to Artist Beware. Still haven't heard anything from my bank yet and I hope other people think twice before commissioning this artist

*feels the urge to write about "how to not completely suck as a small-time commission artist" again*
I just want this resolved and hope this is a wake-up call to him as I fear I am not the only person who had this issue. I kick myself for not screen capping his FB page when i found a user leave a very upset comment asking where their refund is and to warn people never to commission him D:
I dunno if I could force him to read it, but I would hope maybe others, especially newer artists, would take some things into consideration before committing to the job/career that freelance is and entails. Like producing the work you've been paid for.... showing updates... handling refunds... figuring out if a craft or your art can produced in a timely enough manner to open for commissions and the importance of seeing them through, etc. ^.^; Time wise I would expect an original doll with some casted parts to take about that, but the no visual updates is disturbing and feels kinda... you know, it's one thing to do a list of work a few at a time, but he said he was working on it so he SHOULD be able to take a cellphone photo (borrowed, or his own) at least. Heck, when I had scanner problems I did that ^.^; not best quality, but it showed and creates/strengthens trust. Ack sorry to draw this out! Basically I feel for you, but if I could offer the guy some advice I would from having made similar mistakes (from what I can tell from here, time management and project process supervision) in the past. Some folks make mistakes because they happen or they don't know better/haven't learned better - AB posts are good for teaching a lesson or two.
