I was going to see it the week after I see Guardians of the Galaxy next week.

besides the generic "its got megan fox'' and without spoilers? The retcon for the origin story of the turtles, the treatment of shredder as a character as well as the foot's portrayal and Donie being typecast so hard? it just..urgh.

Well I had some hopes for it. But perhaps I'll not meh over it too much that I cannot see it in theaters. I'll just wait for it to show up on Popcorn Time in that case.

Rotten Tomatoes' score is currently at 19%. As of now only 66% of viewers liked it. I expect these numbers to eventually change and balance out, but I doubt it's going to look pretty after tonight and tomorrow. The top reviewers' comments is falling in line with a lot of what I feared. I just don't know why anyone thought that handing Michael Bay the keys to the franchise was a good idea given his reputation. I mean, all faith that this would be a good movie went straight out the window when the original concept of making them space aliens was revealed.

I avoid anything with Michael Bay involved now. I'm amazed anyone goes to his movies, but I guess he's successful enough for studios to keep unleashing him on us. :P
