Thank you everyone for the great furmeet I really enjoy seeing everyone smile. Unfortunatly there were a few things at the furmeet that really need resolving as i'm getting sick of asking every meet. x_x So a message from all MancFur staff:
Please stop eating and drinking your own food inside the venue. Last warning via social media. If you're caught to leave you'll be asked to leave from now on. This damages the relationship with have with the venue!!!
I never thought we'd have to say this but PLEASE don't chase each other around running full pelt in the venue! Cute play fighting yeah sure go for it but kicking each other and nearly kicking other people trying to walk past. It needs to stop seriously.
Also another thing I thought i'd never say. I know you're all excited but please keep howling to a minimum. It's loud, it's annoying and it's really not needed inside such a small venue...
NO LEADS it's dangerous! Pulling someone around the furmeet on a lead? Really?
P.S Harnesses are OKAY as long as they're nylon (not some studded leather or something xD)
NO ALCOHOL IN THE FURSUIT LOUNGE if you spill it on someones fursuit we fully expect you to pay damages and MancFurs will NEVER be held responsible for your actions.
Last but not least. (It annoys me to say this as it effects me as a fursuit too) The fursuit lounge will now close at 5pm every furmeet. By request of the venue we are closed up and cleared by 6pm but for about 6 months requests to leave the lounge are ignored so now we will be closing the lounge earlier to allow it to actually be cleared on time. Numerous fursuit cases are always left in the lounge until about 6.10 further damaging our relationship with the venue which is not good at all.
Thanks and hopefully you all understand.

But was still an awesome day, wish I could've stayed longer but maybe next month! ^^
Food and drink was something Stuart had to bring up when he ran the meets, it was never anything I was lenient on, and certainly people after me weren't either. It's common sense, you don't go into a pub with your own drinks nor do you go to a say McDonalds with KFC in hand. So going into a bar that sells drinks and food is a double no no. It was a lovely day yesterday so there was nothing stopping people going out and enjoying whatever in the park.
Running around and generally acting poorly in an enclosed public space is also something I had dealt with and again, follows common sense. You're in a public space shared by more than a few people and is just gonna lead to accidents. I further point out that yesterday was sunny and there is a park across the road with loads of room!
Leads were something I banned for a while because it was a health and safety hazard, which I'm sure a lot of people find stupid or "It's just a furmeet", it's still something the Venue has to deal with to make sure it's employees and customers are safe. By bringing leads and dragging people round, you're just creating problems.
I'm genuinely bothered that these issues are back in a force where staff are having to make a point about it, when we actually made rules about this five years ago and is explicitly stated in the MancFurs charter:
Meet rules are put in place for four reasons:
- Safe atmosphere for attendees
- Smooth running of the meets
- Adhering to the rules of the venue
- Adhering to the law
Come on guys. Use your noggin' and remember that you're in public not your pals house :V
(I do apologise if any staff thing I'm stepping a line here but gosh darn this has riled me up!)
Trust me, it's annoyed everyone. x_x
