A friend of mine had the misfortune of being victim of :devtoxicmutagen: through Etsy. :devtoxicmutagen: already has a bad reputation among the adoptable community but now they've extended their activities with tangeible goods and guess what they just learned? Its easy to get something for free.
This is important to anybody who sells artwork online be it through dA or even Etsy.

I've noticed that Etsy, in particular, is a breeding ground full of deadbeat buyers and piece of shit scammers ripping people off. Trying to sell your artwork is hard already, last thing an artist needs is having their money stolen too. I will always apprise people if theres an individual worth ignoring/blocking when they come knocking at your door.

Does this person have FA usernames as well? Not seeing any info about that.

OP
i'm not seeing anything about their FA if they ahve one. I can ask. i felt it important anyway since some people choose to at least sell through Etsy but its good to keep their real name in the back of your head in the mean time. if i find out they had an FA i'll let you know

Sadly FA has a policy against call-out journals so this might be taken down soon.

OP
so long as some people are for-warned, it did its job :(

Also if you know their name you could always pursue the case to get your items back, or report them to the po-pos cause that's fraud or theft. People don't have to be content with PayPal telling them that they ain't getting money back.

OP
you're right. and right now people are sleuthing out their real identity and they've found a name and location that coincides with their paypal mailing address. Unfortunately, this victim is European. We'd need an American to file a report. but theres been a plethora of victims.

I could file a complaint. I do it all the time on Etsy, because I can't fucking stand thieves. Fire me a PM with all the info I need and I'll report them.
