Once more into the breeches, dear friends!
Fuck yeah bicycle!
After putting up my injured Pokemon for healing, I headed over to the bike shop to check on the rescued owner. For saving him, the guy at the bike shop gave me their latest model for free! Hey, it looks like there are still good people in the world besides yours truly. Good to see I'm not alone!
What's even better is that it's compact! At the push of a button, it folds in on itself, meaning I can attach it to my backpack with relative ease. It's also lightweight, so it shouldn't slow me down too much...
Ah, what am I saying? This thing is so awesome that I don't ever want to put it up! Of course, I can't exactly ride it indoors, so I decided to get my initial thrill out by riding it until I couldn't anymore.
So I did. I rode around the town, testing the speeds on my bike, trying to pull fancy tricks, often failing, but getting the hand of it nonetheless. Sarah ran beside me, and she was able to keep up with me, surprisingly even when I was on my fastest speed! I'm impressed, and I'll certainly have to keep her speed in mind for future battles.
After we wore ourselves out, we stopped by the large statue I saw in the middle of town before. A huge stone Pokemon stood on top of a pedestal, which had some faded writing on it. The statue itself was in much better condition, showing a huge, four-legged beast. I certainly wouldn't want to go against that thing...
At least, not without a sack full of Pokeballs!
Anyway, it's time to get some rest now. My legs are screaming, but now that I've learned how not to bust my ass on my bike, I think I'll let Serena ride with me. I think she'd enjoy it.
At least, I hope she would.
