Hello Everyone!
I have a special journal for everyone who lives in Ontario and likes to get in on the convention circuit, especially artists and cosplayers. My hometown of Cornwall, Ontario, located forty minutes from Ottawa, an hour from Montreal, Quebec and on the border of Massena, New York State, is playing host to a brand new convention this month! Due to it's position it has the potential to draw in a lot of guests from neighboring communities!
The convention is called CoTiCon. It stands for Cornwall Tiny Convention. It will be a one day convention.
It will host an artist alley, which I will be a part of, and I urge other artists in the area to join! A 10ftx10ft space costs ONLY $50.00, and includes your convention badge and lunch. It's a great opportunity for anyone who wanted to try an AA before moving on to bigger conventions. If you are an artist interested in tabling and you need a place to stay for the convention I'd be happy to open my home up to you if it makes it easier on you! First come, first serve.
It will also have game tournaments, masquerade, and panels! I think the convention may be looking for people to host panels, too, so if you contact the staff about hosting one you would probably be welcomed!

"CoTiCon is a multi event program. Throughout the summer many cosplay friendly events will be taking place for fans of comics, anime, video games and really anything. Cosplay and photography is highly encouraged for each event."

When: SATURDAY, AUGUST 30TH, 2014 from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM.
Cost:
It costs $25.00 for full day entrance ( or $10.00 if accompanying a child under 12 and not costumed)!
Transportation:
There are several buses that make daily trips from Ottawa, Montreal, ect. to Cornwall. I've taken the liberty to list some. Via Rail also has a station in Cornwall.
