One of my favorite toys when I was younger was a super poseable Spiderman I had. It was given to my by little brother, who passed away. He got it for his 5th birthday and because I liked it so much, gave it to me instead. After he passed away, I treasured it so much. Unfortunately, a neighbor kid got ahold of him and broke him on the concrete. I was crying for days. I don't know what happened to him after all these years, I lost so many of my childhood toys from moving...but it's something I remember the most.

what I did have is some hamster plush I named Kio, I pretended to have a relationship with her and that we were married etc. XD It was a strong feeling, until I lost her during moving as well. You will be always remembered Kio. XD

I had - and still have - a stuffed rabbit that I dragged everywhere and love to pieces. It's still my prized possessions. <3

not really a toy per se...but I did have a blankie ever since I was born and it always was there for me to make me feel secure. I never really brought it to school with me in fear I might lose it or be ridiculed, but it's always helped me sleep at night....hell, I still have it and I still sleep with it after 22 years...my fiancee is trying to wean me away from it finally XP

I do have an unopened blankie still in its packaging to give to my future kid though, kinda hoping it'd give him/her the same sense of security I felt as a kid.

I had a lot of toys I liked, but probably one that I still have or my mother has kept was an Andy Panda doll, It was always with me and, I'd have a fit if I didn't have it, when my parents thought it was lost, they'd bought another one just like it, but I knew it wasn't my doll, and they still have my first Andy Panda doll to this date.

A large teddy bear that is more comfortable than any pillow I've used. I've yet to find another teddy like him.

I had this little toy T-Rex that I carried around and played with so much that all the paint wore off. I find it odd now that I preferred my T-Rex toy to my Brontosaurus and baby Brontosaurus toys considering I was like obsessed with The Land Before Time then and the T-Rex was the bad guy lol.

I still have it btw. I'll have to find it and take a pic.

I dont have it any more, but my fave was my GI-Joe super folding tank thing

I had so many favourite toys I don't know where to start. A civil war musket with wood stocks and metal barrel, with a flintlock that worked, and rubber bayonet? My Dinkey toy Cadillac ambulence with gurney, or the Corgi 007 Aston Martin DB5 with the ejector seat? Maybe my 1/32 Strombecker slot cars? I also got a lot of use from a five colour wood skateboard. And the G.I. Joe with the hard hat diving suit was good too. I can't think of any I still have except maybe a 1/43 Ford GT Mk. II, but it almost doesn't count because I filed all the casting lines and repainted it. I have re-acquired some things or have got new things just as good (or better.)

Wait! I still have the whole 1/32 slot car set up in two bankers boxes! I haven't had them set up for years, since the track takes up about 15 by 10 feet, even arranged in a double overlapping figure-8, and there's no room anywhere in the apartment.

Bring 'em to a con sometime; we'll set 'em up on a couple tables somewhere. :D

Interesting notion. It assumes I'll ever go to another convention -- aside from the Montreal worldcon this year -- and that I can carry three banker's boxes worth of track and cars.

Well, there is that, yes. I generally have trunk space for toys when I drive myself to a con.

I had a blankie, I always slept with it, like a comfort blanket, and as I grew older so did it, I still have it, but now I just have it for safe keeping.

I have a stuffed dog I've had since I was around 1 year old... 'Pupdog'

*Very* threadbare, the felt tongue it had is *gone* eyes are scratched, the tail and ears have been resown on so many times... but I'll never get rid of it.

I'd say two... from different timeframes.

The first was a Transformer - he came as part of those ones that had a bigger, non-transforming part, but a smaller transformer inside. I think he was a purplish gryphony character in "transformed" mode, but I found endless ways of using my imagination with him. Very small, but very fun. I unfortunately had my old Transformer collection sold when I was a kid... though I made up for it by some garage sales spectaculars (including an almost perfect Soundwave set with Ravage and Laserbeak... for only 2 dollars!)

The other toy I had (still have in fact) I carried around alot... which works perfectly, because he's only about 3-4 inches tall. I don't know what he was from, but my friend gave him to me one day when I saw it. The thing was a little spaceman kind of toy with a plastic body and small rubbery arms and legs that attatch to plastic pegs on the body. It was very rudimentary, only able to move his arms and legs 360 degrees without bending knees or anything... but I loved him nonetheless =p

take a wild guess..... I had a two foot Cubbi plush and a couple of care bears. I took Him everywhere in my back pack. Since i grew up in the woods we would have adventures together.

Well...considering my nom de fandom is "Major Matt Mason"...

Oldest toy I still have: Couple of 50 year old Fleischmann train sets my parents bought at the PX in Ankara, Turkey before I was born. :)

I got a teddy bear when I was 2, I had a kidney operation and my grandmother (rest in peace) gave it to me, since then we where like bone and flesh, years passed, and good ol' teddy had an accident with my dog, one of its eyes came off, since then I called him one eye teddy XD and yes I still have him, he is one of my most beloved treasures

My favorite toy when I was a kid was this dinosaur-plush that had a rattle in it. It was a stagosaurus I think, and it was orange color with a pink under-side. I got it when I 3 and I think I still have it. But right now it's in my garage, being left there to be taken to the salvation army.
I remember to use to put my finger in its mouth, pretending to let it suck my blood. LOL! It was so cute!

Early on it was a silver grey tabby plushy, after that it was my legos.

Ah, when I was a cub my favorite toy was my Snuggles plush. I'd had him for as long as I could remember, and took him just about everywhere with me. Then, as I grew older I entered a 'too big for toys' phase and threw him and all my other plushes in a chest in the basement. A few years ago I decided to try and look for my old Snuggles plush, only to learn that years prior to that my parents had thrown out the whole chest.

[Sighs.] I miss that bear. T_T

a little brown cat stuffy. She went everywhere with me. She's only about the size of my palm, little thing. remember those stuffed dogs and cats that had velcro on their bellies so they could "have babies"? She was one of those. One of the ones that you could buy extra, that didn't come with a mama. I learned how to do everything with her in my hand. We had so many adventures.

I lost her once in the movie theater, when we went back she was still sitting right where I left her.

I buried her once during recess. After school my papa came up with a shovel and we dug that sand box up like no other.

Some kids took her away from me to play with her, threw her up in the air and by happenstance she fell into an old bird's nest. So...after school papa came back with a long pole and that old nest was knock out.

She's so worn out that her plastic head started coming undone from her body (the fabric is getting worn out) and my granny had to sew it back on.

I wish I could remember the brand name so I could find a picture.

I would say my Mauler Battlemech toy but it didn't exactly leave the house, so I would say my bendable Godzilla toys, I would stage epic battle wherever possible.

I had this generic, no name policeman action figure and he had a motorcycle that you could rev up. I named him officer nice cop. I had him for years and I stopped playing with him after I brought him to show and tell at school and almost the whole class laughed at me. *reliving the trauma* There was nothing about him that was funny (except the fact that he was bow legged for having to be placed on the motorcycle but that's how he was designed but unbeknownst to me at the time they were laughing at the way his legs looked not me.
