Remember, this movie is quite inaccurate, and I'm not just talking about the fantasy elements. Rasputin was a close friend of the Royal Family and supported the Czar's rule, and I believe was killed during the uprising.

Also, Anastasia's grandmother was royalty of Denmark... not France. Don Bluth couldn't pack in nearly as much product placement and pop-culture references in Copenhagen as he could in Paris.

Its a don bluth non-disney film like Fern Gully and Titan A.E. if I am not mistaken.

Rasputin was actually not a "close friend" of the Royal family, he was a con man that deluded the Royal family into thinking he was akin to god with "medical" parlour tricks, and he made them believe that he could cure their son Alexei of his hemophilia. He was killed though, because he was widely believed to be a large part of why the Czar and his wife became so disliked.unpopular.

Also, the bat is played by Hank Azaria, who's also in The Simpsons, Night At The Museum, Mystery Men, Mystery Alaska, and Happy Feet 2. He's such a great actor, and voice actor.
