It has come to my attention that people have started to trace/recolour my art. I must emphasize that this journal is not directed at anyone in particular. I will not name names, but it has happened on more than one occasion and by several different people.
The most popular thing to trace appears to be Eight’s fursuit reference sheet. I commonly take commissions for artworks just like that reference sheet, and still people trace.

Now this isn’t a rant journal…it is simply informational.
You are not allowed to trace, recolour, heavily reference or reuse my art work in any way, shape or form without my written permission.


It saddens me that I have to write a journal like this, but with the number of cases increasing I thought I should make it known. If you see anyone who you think may be tracing my art, please contact me privately before calling them out on it~ I can talk to the person quietly without having to cause a kafuffle and hopefully get them to take it down. If the person will not take it down, I will report it.
There are many, many linearts/templates/bases out there for FREE use! You do not have to trace other people’s art.

Please just try to remember that tracing can be incredibly rude to the artist involved, and it is hurtful when others take credit for your own hard work. Some artists allow people to trace their work for educational purposes, and that’s wonderful! However I am not one of those artists.
