How to not reply to an artist with artblock
11 years ago
All of us artists have had this before, we are kinda down on our art. We KNOW we can do better and we are trying, but for now all that comes out is Mediocre Thats how an artist feels when in an artblock
Lets imagen the artist now talks to a person, explaining this feeling. Its not flatout saying "My art is bad." but rather.
"I feel like I am not drawing in my full potential, I am kind of down on my art lately"
And then another person replys with-
"Your art isnt the best, but, you're petty decent."
DONT DO THAT.
Granted you dont have to shower us with compliments and confidence, and we do appreciate input, but this? No, no, no... You're making it worse. You just added an extra 2 weeks to the artblock just by doing that.

The fact is we are all our own worse critics, we truly are.
Let them know where they strive and give constructive criticism to better themselves in their tougher areas.
But dont overdo it, I am a humble person and get emberassed easily.
