discoverychannelofficialAs many of you may have noticed, in the last 6 months or so I have gotten really into the whole fat fur/pooltoy/inflatable scene.
Before I start on my rant, lets make ONE misunderstanding CLEAR: THIS IS NOT A FETISH FOR ME. I am not sexually aroused in ANY way to fat fur/pooltoy/inflatable themed art. It's just not something that rings my bell. I love it for other reasons, so PLEASE do not ask me to RP with you or make inappropriate comments about my fatty/squeeky submissions. Thanks.
FEW. Now that that's over, lets talk about roundies (what I call fat/inflatable stuff). I started getting into it about... oh... 6 months ago. It was part of my campaign to try new "themes" in the fandom. Mostly because my ideas for commissions was drying up and I needed inspiration. Not only that, but I'm a big fan of trying new things. So, I got some pooltoy/fatty art. I enjoyed them alot! Not sure why, but I think it strums my cute strings more then anything. Never though fat art could be cute, but it is. The pooltoy/inflation stuff is cute, but I more see it being cool. Just cause it's kinda reminds me of playing with REAL pooltoys since alot of my IRL friends have them alot, and I have many awesome convention memories of chilling in the pool with friends trying to ride them. XD
But, with all that said, I am a little worries about you guys. I know some of you might be kinda upset about this? I dunno, maybe I'm just being paranoid. I recently had a GOOD IRL friend of mine unfollow me from Twitter because they were upset about the pooltoy art they saw on my feed. They said it was nothing personal and we're still buddies, but I can't shake it off. It keeps bothering me. I guess It doesn't mean I'm gonna stop doing what I love, but it makes me curious if "roundy" art offends people. Does it really? I don't commission porn, and I never will. But even clean fatty stuff? I don't get it. I'm curious to hear what you guys think about fatty/inflatable stuff.
Anyway, besides all that, I plan to continue getting roundy art, as well as continue to expand into new themes and ideas. I just worked out a deal with Jaeh to do a MASSIVE (no pun intended) 8-10 page macro/growth comic (PG rated or course). I'm really excited about that one, and will probably be done sometime mid-late 2015.
So yeah, speak up!

So yeah, I'm not a fan of that pathway of TF/theme - Elsewise I'm a fan of everything else you commission, but as for that... yeah, it'll start to get really uncomfortable if it becomes a major output. I'm sorry if that's blunt, but I don't like to lie, and sometimes it's best to be totally honest than to sugarcoat it. If it's something you enjoy, I can't stop you from enjoying it.
Looking forward to seeing the Jaeh comic though :)

Well it'd be up to you in the end, don't want to put pressure on you if you feel like you couldn't read it properly.
That is just what I have seen that some people think about fat people/characters (I am large IRL too so I have dealt with it all my life). I still even get the occasional "You disgust me you fat slob" type messages on tumblr from anons because of my commissions. What it comes down to is you can't really worry about if it offends people or not and just do what you like. You find it cute and in the end that is all that really matters. It is your account and money, not theirs. For every watcher you lose because of it you will get 2-3 new ones.
I'm not fat IRL (well sorta. I got the six pack of beer going). I think the reason ppl hate on fat furs is cause alot of them assume it's a sexual thing. Like "oh man, that gets you off? YOU GROSS FUCK". Uh, no? No boners were had. I think if these things were seen less as fetishes, and more as themes people occasionally make sexual, there would be more acceptance for them.
I think babyfurs and rubber pups have the same problems. Everyone assumes they are all about sex. I have a greater respect for both of them now that I've kinda enjoyed the fatty thing.
With the community we are in I can understand a lot of people finding it hard to believe that this is not intended to be sexual in some way so that aspect is just going to be something you'll find yourself continually battling against. Wouldn't you feel the same if suddenly someone you were watching posted only cub art?
I think it's fine, even if it's not my thing the quality of the art is good and it's always interesting!
You just gotta not let what other people think or do affect your fun activities :3

I don't hate it, even if it's not my thing. I don't really get why people hate certain styles or fetishes unless they are illegal. It feels very intolerant O.o Like they are infuriated or discussed that other people like things that they do not. It's the same as people who hate people who like MLP, and if you show me that you hate someone for liking something that is not harming other people then you are showing me that you are not a worthwhile person I want to know.
but this... isn't something I'd like to see, it doesn't really bother me or anything, not much anyway, I just don't want to see it. My FA filter doesn't pick up on it either, is there a word you could put into the tags or whatever so I don't have to see it? I've seen it say "inflatable" and "fat" in the tags, which is weird 'cus that's on my blocklist, still shows up in my inbox :S
If not I'll just have to unfollow you. I don't want to stand in the way of your interests, you can be interested in whatever you want. I just don't want it in my inbox ;(
But thats just my personal thought about it. People should be absolutely allowed to like and do whatever they please. But I sorrily do not want to be looking at it
its also kinda different if said person is fat irl. I tend to ask my overweight friends if they would like to go hiking with me sometimes, but I've kinda stopped asking as they never say yes and it feels like its rude to ask...? Like if they want to be big that's ok I shouldn't push my beliefs onto them, though I do want them to live long and be healthy, so idk? idk...

I don't mean this to be offensive to more severely obese people. I honesty see it as a more positive aspect of being fat, since ppl enjoy fantasy art of that size.
I am sorry it bothers you that much. :( I'm not gonna have this be 100% of my submissions, but I do enjoy it so I will post art of it now and then.
And don't worry about being overweight/chubby or whatever I'm not sure (I'm sorry we use KGs and CMs here). You can be whatever size you want, like whatever you want and post whatever you want :3 It's not really any of my business, anyway :p
and even though I wrote a good list of synonyms for fat or inflated, it didn't seem to help much. It did help on your gallery though, but its still supposed to work on other peoples pages, as well

I honestly think they're cute as well and could tell there was nothing awkward going on. I swear people make me hate... people.
Fursuits, fetishes, balloons, diapers, pool toys, the list goes on. We're all damn weird, so why judge ourselves so harshly when we have the rest of the world to deal with?
tl;dr I don't think I'm weird, but that's because I perceive myself normal to my standards

While i do not have fetishes for them, I draw Fat Characters & Musclar characters for Character variety.
Kinda gets boring drawing Skinny Characteres all the time. lol
I wouldn't worry about someone unwatching or not following you somewhere anymore. I would only worry if the person does say that they DO have a problem with it but doesn't leave it at just an unwatch.
I see the inflatable/fat furry art on FA as being whatever the person who posts it deems it to be. If it's that person's fetish, then so be it. Let them enjoy their art that way if they like it like that. And if it isn't a fetish and it's there for more innocent reasons, then same applies. However, don't be surprised if some people do see it as a fetish. FA is both a place for clean and adult art, and even with the lines drawn, they aren't very clear and some people who browse either group will find art in the other. After, one man's innocent idea might be another's fetish. XD
