Paramount Theatre: The Birds & Frenzy, August 17, 2014[Austi

Greetings Furries!
The historic Paramount Theatre is showing the 1963 film, "The Birds" on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM. I will
be attending the show and I would love to have some Furries join me :)
I will be hanging around the theatre at around 1:30 PM.
Directed by Alfred Hitchcock
Starring Tippi Hedren, Rod Taylor, Jessica Tandy, and Suzanne Pleshette
Hitchcock goes back to the du Maurier well, this time for this tense, richly metaphorical horror film about a series of increasingly violent bird attacks that plague the town of Bodega Bay in California. These bizarre incidents leave themselves open to a wide variety of thematic interpretations, which is usually the sign of a great work of art.
DOUBLE FEATURE
Even better this is part of a double feature so afterwards, at 4:35 PM, you can stay and watch the 1972 film,
"Frenzy".
Paramount's Theatre's description of, "Frenzy":
Directed by Alfred Hitchcock
Starring Jon Finch, Alec McCowen, and Barry Foster
Made in the twilight of his directing days, this Hitchcock crime thriller turns the genre on its head, revealing the identity of the murderer to the audience at the very beginning of the film. This unique approach changes how we view the movie, inviting or perhaps even forcing us to identify with the man we know to be the killer.
Here is web site for the shows at the Paramount:

Here is the very important parking information, as this theatre is in the heart of downtown:

The Paramount it is true national treasure dating from 1915 which originally started of as a vaudeville theatre, before films became popular. Just sitting in this beautiful theatre makes me smile. Of approximately 1,200 theaters designed by John Eberson is one of the less than 25 still in existence.
Here some information about its history:
