It is not all evil...and I am sorry if I sounded like I was saying it was.
I found an artist whose Patreon I like, the way they set it up. Donate a dollar every time they put a comic page out, supporting something you like and the artist gets money for drawing it, up to 500 dollars a page they're up to! And they post it for all to see.
I love what this artist did, it works, they make money, and they get support for it. I will not link so you trouble makers don't all go and harass them, The only people I had trouble with were the ones who started censoring all their work, crying for money monthly in order to pay for things that people didn't always want...
So in short, paying for a good or service you like and want without being self righteous about it, A+
Asking for a monthly fee for art you're drawing anyways but now hide parts of it just for the sake of money making, that's a kitty no no.
You don't have to live by this, or even go for it, but that's my 2 cents.
