Sonic Boom News: Trailer and Character Reveal!

Hey everyone; got some new news about Sonic Boom for ya! SEGA and BRB have released a new trailer for "Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric"; which shows more of the story and gives a glimpse of some of the supporting cast in-game.

But if you watch the trailer all the way through to the end, you may notice a certain someone pop up. That's right, it's been confirmed: Metal Sonic will be making his presence felt in the Wii U game! What role he will play in the game as of yet remains to be seen, but the strangest thing about this is that it looks like Metal has gotten absolutely no change to his design for the new universe whatsoever. Odd, considering the lengths that SEGA has gone through to make Sonic Boom it's own thing, but meh; whatever.
But Metal isn't the only one confirmed for the Boom universe. Also making his debut, according to a released piece of concept art, Shadow will also be in the Boom universe as well (though it has as of yet been confirmed to the capacity of his roll in the new spin-off franchise).

So.... Shadow & Metal in Boom. Personally, I would have preferred it if Shadow was left out of the mix this time & let someone else more deserving to be put in instead. Still, I guess it's good to see more of the core franchise characters getting in the mix outside of the core cast. What do you all think? Excited to see Shadow & Metal in Boom?
