Wanted to write this before I go back to sleep and forget
How much should I have saved up before I actually go start to make sure I can afford any surprise costs and a hefty supply of needles. Cost is the biggest worry I have

That's a good thing to talk to a doctor about because it really varies but assume at least $100 a month. So depending on your monthly income.. maybe $600-10000
Transdermal methods, like gels and patches, are significantly more expensive, as stated by the person above.
