Tablet pen not recognizing sai?
11 years ago
It's starting to get kind of frustrating - I'll turn my tablet on (Cintiq 21UX) and the pen will act like it's dead when SAI is open. But if I close sai it works just fine (in photoshop or just clicking around on the screen)
My extremely frustrating workaround has been to uninstall sai, restart my computer, install a trial period of sai, and then delete the trial period (not uninstall, just delete the folder) and replace it with a backup copy of my own. And this seems to have my pen recognize sai again - for a short period.
I would like to mention that when I did get my tablet a few years ago it really did not want to work with sai and I don't remember how, but I had to pretty much fight with it to get pressure to work. Unfortunately with SAi/my tablet being a jackass it's been really hard to get work done. So I was curious if anybody else had this problem, or if anybody may know what's going on?
Yes I've tried turning it off and on again. ;x;

I still have some weird problems, but I think that'd just because my Vista laptop is old and in pretty shabby condition, but I do recall uninstalling the update and backing down a few versions.
I'll see if I can figure out what version I'm on, and maybe that'll help.
this helped me when i had the same issue, i hope it helps you!! :)
Go to wacom tablet program thingy and put sai under the recognised programs and than try to open sai.
If that doesn't work try to reset the wacom properties by pushing the start button of windows and typing in wacom.. the third from top should be it[I dont know the English description of it ^^"]. Erase it and than go back put sai in as program in the wacom properties.
I know this issue with cintiq already. Usually works ;3
I dont know exactly how I did it back than but its because of the tablet pen input from windows. You would need to look up how to remove the tablet pen input service or something like that. Wacom and this process hate each other desperately and i had serveral issues with it.
it'll read in everything but Sai ._.'
i hope you can get yours fixed
Ps works well though as does
