I've been nominated 3 times.. Each time I have chosen to donate to help find a cure for this terrible disease.
I've been donating to fight ALS since 1996, when my boss became stricken with the disease. Since then I have lost someone else I know, and now my dad has it..

Thats what i do, may not be much money i give but its 10 times better than a shitty video :)

Raising awareness is one thing. Raising money to fund research to find a cure is more important, although I've heard their donations are up thanks to the ice bucket challenge.
Currently, they have drugs which slows the progress of ALS and helps maintain the quality of life, but eventually even that is not enough.
