facelesses [massive post]

Sorry. Because I tend to forget where I place mostly EVERYTHING.
In the future, I'll... Somehow make use of this. But for now, eh.

- Faceless age similar to us (humans), but live much longer lifespans: 125+ years
- Children are called Fletches. Although it's not uncommon for the term to be dropped.
- Facelesses have feathers (their crests) and hair (their tails).
- They give birth to live young.
- Colder environments causes them to be lethargic. If it is too cold, they have the possibility to fall into a coma or die.
- Males have more vibrant crest displays. Female crests tend to be duller in color, if only slightly. (crests are movable, btw)
- Females are more inclined to decorate their tails. (eg; braiding, adding accessories)
- Facelesses do not hold surnames, instead their masks will be used. (eg; Andrew-cloud, Samson-fox, Andromeda-tigress, Elizabeth-stardust, Ashton-owl)
- Facelesses have a magical affinity with water. (i have no idea how to explain this, except using Waterbenders from Avatar)
- Depending on how one "positions" their heads, they can be shown as content/relaxed, offended or upset. (i need to further explain this)
- All Facelesses wear masks, except for the exiled/banished or prisoners (prisoners are marked with collars).
--- Masks are personal. Every Faceless makes their own mask. Facelesses do not own more than 1-3 masks. ( various types: personal/casual, formal, decoration. only the King & Queen have Crowning Masks. )
--- There is nothing hideous about their faces, but their culture makes it so that the masks show one's public identity.
--- If one wanted to insult a Faceless: ripping their mask off in a dispute is the highest offense.
--- For lovers, it is the highest form of trust and more commonly used as a marriage proposal. "I give thee my face, in hopes that we shall be together, everlasting, 'till the stars lose their blinding light."
--- Another form of proposal is giving a new handmade mask of their lover's mask. (A makes B a new mask for them)
--- As masks are an identity, children are not required to wear one. (but the sight of a child wearing a simple mask [eg; cloth] is not uncommon) "They are young. They have not found themselves yet."
--- Eventually, a young Faceless will find the "need" to create one that "signifies who they are". In which, they will design, choose the materials for their masks and make it themselves. (they will be taught on how to use the necessary tools to make their own)
--- Facelesses will often repair their masks than replace them. If replacement is needed, the same design will be kept, materials might change.
--- Surprisingly, Facelesses often base their masks off animals.
- Their city is called Pendulum. It sits carved into a massive cliffside.
--- City is broken into 3 districts, from top to bottom. Topsoil, Centerpiece and Colddank.
--- If arriving at the city by land or sky, it is always at Topsoil. If arriving by sea, it will be in Centerpiece's port.
--- Centerpiece is the largest of all the districts, which includes more sub-districts. ( The Heart, Deepmarket, Gardenpark, Steamboiler etc )
--- Colddank is often mentioned as a "poor district" and a "prisonhouse". That said, a large majority of it goes underwater AND the prison is located here.
--- It's called Pendulum as there is a massive clock ( The Clockwork ) that can be seem from everywhere.
--- Every tick from the clock is literally felt throughout the city. "'Tis a comforting sound... Lets us know that we are alive and well."
--- Pendulum is set as steampunk themed. Steam, pipes and various other automations roam and dot the city.

Terrible trivia and it did help a little.
Alas, I'm still not comfortable in drawing humans in general.
