Questions and thanks and stuff...

So I realize I don't really have an artist statement like most people where I am talking about myself like where I'm from and what I like. I figure most of you don't really care about that kind of stuff, you are here to see pretty pictures or weird monsters or whatever the case may be. But it occurred to me that maybe that makes me seem stand-offish? I hope not! I wanted to let you guys know that you should feel free to leave a shout now and then or leave feedback or ask me a question, I always try to respond to my messages and I really enjoy having discussions with you and hearing your opinions!
I really wanted to thank you guys for welcoming me into the community. I don't really consider myself a furry, I mean I don't have fursuits or anything, I just love animals and cool animal and anthro art. I can't believe I have almost 150 watchers already, and I have only been on this site (checks registry date) oh wow I have been on here for just over a year! You guys are so awesome and inspiring! Thank you to everyone who stops by, leaves a comment or a friendly hello, watches or faves my art. I really appreciate it.
With all that being said, I was wondering do you have any questions for me, either about my life or what you'd like to see more of, or just art in general?
I have a question for you- what inspires you? Do you have a favorite animal or species? And what is your favorite monster from movies or myths/legends- they are all fair game. :)

My favourite animals are - like most folks' - projections of qualities I aspire to or identify with: I like the whole family of weasels for their various energy and stubbornness and fearlessness - otters, badgers, and all. Tigers symbolise power and self-sufficiency, though they are beautiful to look at too. Jaguars for their laze-around-in-sexy-pyjama-ness. I love shiny too - endlessly fascinated to learn to draw it, though it's so hard it's intimidating to try.
Favourite film - usually the most recent CG one, so Guardians of the Galaxy. :)
Favourite monster - the intelligent super-sensing compassionate semi-alien werewolf thing in Robert Stallman's book Orphan.
Thank you for sharing some of your favorites. I want to see Guardians of the Galaxy so bad! Everyone keeps mentioning how good it is. Today is my hubby's birthday so maybe we can make a b-day date of it. Oh wow, that sounds really cool. I love to read, especially books about werewolves, but I have never heard of that one. I'll have to look into it, thank you! I think my favorite werewolf book out of the ones I've read would have to be High Moor by Graeme Reynolds. And my favorite semi-alien monster thing is Pennywise from IT or maybe the Predator
Now I'm trying some more, even though I'm newly a father and have rather less free time than I used to at my disposal. My goal is the sort of near-realism of folks like yourself. :)
I enjoy urban fiction - plenty of werewolves with Patricia Briggs and the like, although it's sometimes a bit... chick-lit. :)
Not familiar with the books you mention; I'll have to add them to my order list!
I am a horror junky myself, my absolute favorite ongoing series of books right now is Zombie Fallout by Mark Tufo. I'm not even that in to zombies, but if you like post-apocalyptic stuff at all, the action will keep you entertained and the characters are amazing. So I would highly recommend it.
