Lyger Musings: But WHY do you like it...?

So, most ppl prolly have at least a decent idea of WHAT they like, but it seems not as many stop to think WHY they like it.
indeed perhaps there sometimes is no good answer, but as part of my general curiosity about everything, and my hunger to know everything
know-able regardless of its usefulness i often question myself, for the purpose of knowing myself better.
part of my endless curiosity means that i actually find a very wide array of things interesting/likeable but for the purposes of this journal i'll focus on sexual likes in general.
as you may have noticed on my page i have the "Master" group listed, and i indeed adore the concept of owning pets or maybe.. -maybe- even slaves, the exact definition of a pet or slave can vary a little depending on who you ask of course.
but something my self examination has revealed to me, is that the vast majority of my sexual likes clearly involve ideas of domination and power, or indeed perhaps more than only my sexual likes, power seems to be a recurring theme with me and i'll admit to feeling at my best when i have power/control in any given situation
of course power has many forms, while i love to dominate in a sexual aspect, i also love to have the power to protect and care for those that are special to me, as well as power to rain hell on any who would dare harm them
and as for how my love of comedy and nutty nonsensical remarks fit into the above... uh...still trying to figure that one out :P
so, have you stopped to try to examine why you like what you like? i've been at is for a few years and while i've learned a lot about myself
i dont have answers for everything yet obviously, though i could write at least 3-4 pages on what i've gathered thus far.
so.. do you like power and domination? or do you like to be controlled and submissive? do you like both? do you know why you like these things?
it's interesting stuff to think about, and can be a bit disarming sometimes
as for my base reason for being attracted to power so much, i'm afraid i don't have a complete answer yet, but ill have fun figuring it out.
