Awesome news and a bit of bad news for a few of you
11 years ago
First off, the awesome news. I got a job as the facility manager at a zoo in Texas that specializes in big cats, particularly white tigers. This is a phenomenal opportunity for someone like me who is fresh out of college and is something that normally takes years, not just to work with big cats, but to be in a management position as well. I have about a month left before I officially start down there, but I have a lot left to take care of in the mean time up here in Wisconsin.
Now for the semi-bad news. Because I will be moving away from home (YAY) I will not have the nice sewing set up that I currently have access to as it is my mothers. She has been incredibly patient with me and my endeavors with creating adult products with her good serger, even encouraging me and helping me figure things out to improve. However, I highly, highly doubt she'd let me take her machines with me half way across the country. So I will no longer be able to make the shorts that many of you have expressed interest in. I know I've been slow with making them and I do apologize for that, but my real jobs and commitments came first and often left me with little time or energy at the end of the day. I have been and will be continuing to make pairs of shorts while I can, but I cannot promise anything at this point.
I will still be able to traditional and digital art though. It may take me a bit more time as i move and get settled and learn my new job, but I will be able to keep drawing for you all. So if you are in my queue for visual art, hang in there, it is coming!
Thank you so much all for understanding, and I hope to see you all from Texas!
