If it's any consolation, it's normal for people who have been taught to look down upon things as strange to later in their life take an interest in them. Normal is overrated.

To my mind, the only things which are wrong involve actual real suffering on the part of real people without their consent. Anything else - certainly anything in a drawn picture - is fine. You're not hurting anyone - so how is it wrong?

Now, there's things which I find kind of ew. That's a normal thing. I try to stay clear of the places I'm likely to run into those things, and don't give it much thought.

As long he doesn´t hurt anyone and it affects just his private live no one has the right to judge him. As far as I am concerned he could let himself being babied by a friendly hyper breasted xenomorph for example.

I think your character, your mind... everything that you are is developing. There is no thing like normality. That are thing you like and it is your life. No one should dare to tell you what you have to like and what not. If they don´t like it then they shouldn´t look. If someone is bitching and being an asshole just say: STFU and GTFO.
