Not really surprising, IMO. The more a charity advertises or stays in front of the public's eye, the less money it needs from you. Meanwhile, in some piss-ant shelter that nobody hears about and that barely has the money to keep the lights on, animals are being euthanized because staffers can't find homes for them...
