On kink-shaming and Godwin's Law
There's something I really gotta get out there. Consider it a public service announcement.
A lot of furry sites that allow adult content (this one included) actually ban people for kink-shaming, kink-bashing, etc. It's considered a form of harassment. Calling someone a rapist because they're into something that you are not is unacceptable behavior anywhere. Telling someone to go fuck themselves because you misconstrued something they said isn't acceptable behavior either.
Comparing trying something new and interesting to bashing your own dick with a hammer is...I can't even comprehend the stupidity of such a hyperbolic exaggeration.
If there were a Godwin's Law for rape (and I'm sure with the tumblr SJW movement going as it is there probably is) I think it would apply here. In other words, calling someone a rapist to provoke enough emotion to win an online argument immediately secedes your argument, or at the very least makes all intelligent discourse impossible from that point forward.
I've now had 2 furries compare my activities involving skunk spray, whether online or offline, to rape, or otherwise claim I am pro-rape based on this. Obviously, this started a pretty serious flamewar (or exacerbated one that was already starting). Now let me explain where this is a problem, outside of starting a conflict.
Rape is a largely unforgivable, terrible crime on most of this planet, in some ways actually worse than murder. Calling someone a rapist or pro-rape over a kink they have, or the activities they engage in to indulge the kink, cheapens what actual rape is. You do not simply throw that word around for cheap emotional impact or to get people on your side in an argument.

Indeed, it does torture me to know that stupidity does not physically harm the ignorant fools afflicted, only those who must bear witness to it on an hourly basis (through transmission of headaches).
it gets complicated real fast.
for example, Timotekarosine loves the idea that the person on the receiving end of horrendously foul smelling feet does not like it. It's an act of domination in that sense.
I think ideally, mutually "hedonic aware" is the best situation, where both know that both like it.
so, anyone crying rape is just trying to jostle you.
many people say tolerance, and don't know fuckall about what it really means.
it means that you may not agree, or like something, but one has to be happy for someone that they found something they enjoy.
many examples... i mean, i got my own guilty pleasures, as many do. and in these days and times, people gotta understand, there's a right to conduct your life and preferences as you wish.
Hedonist credo: you don't need permission to like something
lots of people fixate way too much, about shit they hate...
