Some crossing signals in Japan have unusual bells.

I had to laugh at how the barriers come down an hour before the train finally crawls past at 3mph.... Then they can't get the things re-opened fast enough, before the train has even cleared the crossing!
It's like...
"Yeah, we can see you, now get the heck out of here, go on, faster, hurry up!"
Yeah, the gate timing probably isn't the greatest on these older units. :)
However, these older lines are not used that heavily, so they probably don't have to be perfect on timing.
I would be happy with one in O gauge if one existed.
UK models are usually £65 / $90 each, but these things sell at £120 GBP / $180 USD for one locomotive, plus extra for shipping.
