I almost died today...
...My school lets us out at 3:20 and the bus used to come at 3:29, but now it comes at 3:17 and then at 3:55, so you can ether get a pass and leave at 3:15 and run across the football field in two minutes of wait for a half hour in the negative degree weather. Today the principal decided that the kids were making noise in the hall and told us we couldn't leave early anymore. So my friend Sam and I ran across the football field, the snow was up to our waists, so we had to run along the railroad tracks to make it in time. I fell over twice and almost threw up. All the while we had to look out for trains. Everyone at the bus stop looked tired, Sam and Andria collapsed into the snow. Now I'm at home and I feel sick and can't stop coughing. If my teacher asks me why I don't have my homework tomorrow I'm going to be very pissed.
I think the least the school could do is let us wait inside until the weather gets warmer. Andria, who's only in middle school, started crying while we were on the bus because she says she doesn't think she can keep doing this every day. I get up at 5:30 every morning, stand out in the cold, carry a heavy back pack around all day. My back hurts and my head hurts. Honestly, I think I'm going to die if I keep having to go though this all the time
