I had an EXCELLENT idea for art and to perhaps get myself out there a little more. But my laptop decided to kill my version of Paint Tool Sai. Does anyone know anything of getting a full version of Paint Tool Sai on Windows 8. Also, Windows 8 is FUCKING GARBAGE!!! I already miss my MacBook Pro.

Incidentally, a lot of things have been going on. I received an Army Achievement Medal for providing medical support to a fellow soldier while I was still in Garrison. I received that medal the day before I left for my TCS. I have been doin' okay over here. Though I do admit that I have been a little lonely lately. I was also offered to play on a soccer team. Which would be excellent for my morale. I need to be more social. DJ was right. I can't just not be social. I am a social butterfly. Even if I did staple my wings to myself. It hurt. xD

But I really wanna get a version of Paint Tool Sai on this laptop. So that I can draw for all you nice peoples. I am keeping the EXCELLENT idea till I can draw it out. It would be free as I do not wish to profit from my art financially. If anyone has info on that Paint Tool thing, hit me up.

Enough about my BS. What about everyone else? How are y'all? :3

I've been kinda lonely lately, to tell the truth. I did get to talk with my husband today and that made it a good bit better but I think that talking with my friends would definitely help me benefit. It's okay over here. Just super hot all the time. The coolest part of the day is after 2000. Which is like 85 F. I'm getting by. I would much rather be in Kentucky. Glad you're doin' alright. Please do feel free to note me and keep me updated on what you're doin'.

ive been doing alright, trying to keep myself busy with things until i can finally land a job somewhere.
i wish i could help you out with getting SAI on windows 8 but she's a cruel mistress and apparently doesnt play fair with anyone. what kind of research have you looked into on seeing if others have gotten SAI on 8? hopefully you find some way to keep your spirits up and hopefully not feel as lonely, you're doing great things!

Thanks. I just need to talk to others more. Hoping that some friends on here might wanna talk with me. I'm gonna be looking more into Sai on Windows 8. I had an easier time installing Paint Tool Sai on a MacBook. xD

ah, well ive got an ear if you wanna chat, i know my responses are usually far in between and im not on often but i try. just from a quick search ive found a few people running SAI on 8 with mixed results; what is the problem you are running into?

Thanks, man. But I get so damn busy the best I can do to ensure I can talk with you is on here. :P If you wouldn't mind that.
But my laptop had completely deleted my version of Paint Tool and that's the problem. So I guess that I have a clean slate with it?

I have personally always had a hatred for windows 8 even from the developer preview that Microsoft released before it came out. My experience with it lasted only about 20 minutes before I shut the computer off and went back to my normal windows 7. Having said that, have you been enjoying your time there? I remember my friend who is ex-military said one thing they would do for fun is get RC cars and race them. If you can find a hobby that you can really focus on you might be able to distract yourself from the lack of social opportunities. If you ever need an ear I would be willing to listen as long as it isn't over skype. My internet is terrible, so I have to stick to chat rooms and text.

Thanks for the offer. I heard about the RC car races. There are things to do sometimes. Concert is gonna be tonight. I fortunately have tomorrow off as well. Go me! I wanna draw. Really, I do. If I communicate, it's likely gonna be through notes. And about Windows 8. It's fucking awful. My best friend insists that it is good. I'm like, fuck no. This shit is garbage. I tried to downgrade it to Windows 7, but for some reason it didn't take. I think this is showing my obvious lack of computer savvy. xD

Actually, a lot of these newer computers running windows 8 are locked to only run 8 or I'm guessing newer. When Geroff got his new laptop, we tried to force install 7 on it because it wouldn't finish the installation on its own, and it only resulted in the laptop completely bugging out and freezing until we reverted back to 8. Fun stuff involved with this one..

Yeah. I tried to force it and I would have had to do some things that I have no idea how to do properly. Stupid Windows 8. Windows is racist.
