I think my profile will never be enough. The FA formatting options aren't conducive to what I want to do. I don't think it defines me particularly well, but if I had my way, it would. The problem with me is that I can only ever seem to show parts of myself at a time, and I'm extremely complex to learn, and it's nearly masochism to try and do so. I want others to learn about me, though I also like the ambiguity or anonymity it creates. I think other people think very little of me when they see my page. I'm forgettable.

What would you wanna do with it if you could?
I think the problem of showing only parts of yourself is pretty common, and I wouldn't really call it a problem at all. We all interact differently, depending on the person we're talking to or even the environment we're in.

I think it'd be nice to have a bit more flexible layout. The biggest thing that bothers me is that part of your IRL information is towards the top left, and then a lot more of it is midway down the page above the shouts. A lot of people (such as myself) tack on some of that at the beginning of theirs and format it to look as though it belongs, but this also prevents you from arranging the order of the information to make more sense. There's a bunch of things like that. It's also odd that there's an artist type blank at all, considering how much more than just the art there is to the fandom, and how many of us are pretty much just watchers. There's got to be a better way to display such information. Gallery folders would be nice, and a vastly improved tag and search system.

The changes you'd like are pretty reasonable. FA isn't just an art site, it's a social media site as well.
I think gallery folders would be useful, not for my own gallery, but for people who have thousands of submissions. It's definitely a challenge, looking through people's galleries to find art you're interested in.

I'm extremely OCD about organization, and part of why I haven't uploaded any of the commissions I've gotten is because I have no proper way to sort them from each other in my gallery.

That's fun! I think the fact that you put a poem on your profile page says quite a bit about you, in and of itself.

It's not so much to engage in conversation as it is to listen to other people.

That's a great way to approach it! I also think that it's better for people to learn about each other through talking, although it's also true that the information on someone's profile can inspire conversation.

Psht, I think my journals and profile give a very small view of a tiny part of myself. Really, I would have to mention video games more for it to describe me close to 100%. Gallery wise, I think I might come off as weird and emo. xD

But yeah, I'd put up more if there wasn't someone I knew in person that would love to show my account to friends.

Oh, same here. I think my profile would describe me better if it was all video games! I think Miiverse is good for that, although that's definitely not for everyone. :)

Well I like TF obviously. You could probably also get a sense for some of my favorite genres/franchises like fantasy and Pokemon. It might show that I can be pretty creative with the stories I've posted but that I also have trouble expressing it given the lengthy gaps between output. >.> If you look at my profile pic in particular you get kind of a broad-strokes impression about what I look like I suppose.

Funny enough, just by looking at your profile page, as it is now, I can't tell you're into TF. Your interests in fantasy and games comes out a lot more! Of course, it gets more apparent that you like TF once I read your stories.
