Paypal refunded me?... for no reason!? (need advice)
so, this morning I logged into paypal to make a payment to an artist, and I suddenly see that I have received a... rather large refund from paypal on my account.
It was listed as type "Merchandise Finance Charge Refund" and the description was "*INTEREST CHARGE* PURCHASES REFUND". The amount refunded to me was rather large... and I have no idea why or where this money is coming from.
I am worrying that maybe paypal screwed over some artists or something and sent me money back to due a small mistake that they made (like the artist not marking the item as shipped)... or maybe went around shutting down artists' accounts and giving money back to people who purchased art from them.
Has this happened to anyone else? or does anyone know what might have happened? The info above is literally everything I know about the situation, and I really don't want to call paypal up and maneuver through their robotic system until I run into a dude from India who I won't be able to understand :-\
EDIT: I sent an email to ask what was going on >.<

I am hoping that if an artist I commissioned sees this, and DID get screwed, then they will contact me and we can arrange for another method of payment >.<
I also didn't find anything about this when I searched google >.<
*hugs*
but you know what they say- if something is too good to be true...
Try sending paypal an email asking what it's about?
The worst they can say is 'We're sorry, it was a mistake, we'll have to take the money back'
So, its either an error from the card company, or something wierd is going on...
Inconceivable.
Seriously. From what I know about Paypal (don't use it myself yet), wait until you are 500% sure before you touch that money.
naaah, I is an honest wulf!
Perhaps?
