My own FC report...and it only took a week!

So, Further Confusion.
I admit, I was nervous, walking from the Holiday Inn parking lot to the Doubletree that Saturday. I've never been to any sort of convention before, let alone one for furries. Luckily, I had a friend who'd be there to help me. Specifically, my under-appreciated friend
amtrack88, who had a few friends of his own along, so I didn't get lonely.
After registration, we went browsing around the Dealer's Den (didn't buy anything, though; didn't have cash on-hand), where I picked up some autographs in lieu of the commissions I couldn't afford, not to mention still have some sort of keepsake to show I met the cool people I did. Specifically, autographs from:
-Zen Migawa
-Moody Ferret
-Ken-jo
-Nani Moose
-Xian Jaguar
-Foxer 421
-Kilgore Wolfe
After such browsing, we just walked around the whole convention, checking out the gaming room, the panels. Also checked out a fellow PCAer,
yodafire, who had set up a bit of a Poke-HQ in one of the rooms (
melfice had already arrived there), so I chilled there for a bit too.
7 PM rolled around, so we left to get in line for the Masquerade, and just made it inside. There were quite a few elaborate costumes to be seen, all of them cool in their own way.
Later on, after doing some other stuff (I don't recall what exactly I did, though a lot of walking was involved), I came back for the dance, sticking around until sometime after midnight, when I decide it's a good time to pack up and go home, since I've got work in the morning.
However, I couldn't stay away. Immediately after work, I headed back AGAIN, for Sunday! This day, though, I was alone. Still had a great time, though. Furry Night Live was an awesome show, even if its pre-show did stretch on way longer than I'd like. (In fact, if anyone has a video of that "Surf Fu" skit, could you please link me to it? That was my favorite.) And there was an Improv panel taking place downstairs, which I happily partook in.
After that, I hit the dance floor again, which was every bit as awesome as Saturday; maybe even moreso, since this would be the last dance of the Con for me. I finally had enough and headed home around 1, 1:30.
All in all, I'm glad I took the time and money to come to FC. I met some amazing people, saw some awesome works of art (Not all art starts on canvas/paper, but that's a discussion for another day), and had the most fun I've had in years. In fact, I may go so far as to say I've never seen a group so friendly, so inviting, so cheerful...as everyone I met at this convention. Even if I did miss a couple people I wanted oh-so-much to meet (Specifically
rickgriffin,
kodadax, and
domafox, though I did spend some time dancing with the latter at Sunday's dance (While he was in-costume, natch, though I doubt he knew who I was)).
Will I be back next year? You bet your ass I will. Already, I'm making plans to go to Califur in June, and I succeeded in scoring a free pass to the Rocky Mountain Fur Con in August. (Which I'm not sure if I'll be attending, as I've no clue where it is.)
If furry is wrong, then FC's made it official: I don't want to be right!

How far into the future depends on if you'll be at Califur in June. ;D
Hopefully, the semester will be kind to me, and I'll be making it to Califur in June!
Or perhaps something a little more elaborate...I'll be prepared, and have proper money with me this time. XD
